Coming Soon – Len Kovar WWII POW speaks to Audiences in Local Sacramento Venues April 2013

On Saturday April 6th, 2013 at 7 PM,  Len Kovar, WWII survivor of death marches and Nazi imprisonment, will speak at the meeting with the Mariner’s Group,  including former AF and private pilots. Plan to arrive about 6:45p, the room is located toward the rear of the facility enter thru the walkway on the circular drive, where you may also park that evening. Contact is Marti Wallace 944-0747.

On April 13th, 1:00 pm- 3:30 pm, Len Kovar will be speaking and signing books at the Barnes & Noble Local Author’s Fair at the Arden Fair Mall Arden with top authors who live in the greater Sacramento area, including top names like John Lescroart and others. Len Kovar will be a featured local writer. Come meet a World War II veteran that survived death marches in the coldest winter in recorded European history while captured by Nazis. He will be signing his book, “World War II Prisoner of War: How I Survived” and talking to individuals about his experiences. Their will be a panel discussion, brief talk about each author’s books, time for questions and book signing.

On April 27th from 10AM – 12:30PM at the Granite Bay Library, Leonard J. Kovar will deliver a personal and engaging talk about his harrowing experiences as a prisoner of war in Nazi Germany and how he survived. Len Kovar wrote, “WWII Prisoner of War: How I Survived” to document his story. Learn about how he was shot from the sky on a bombing mission and how he evaded temporarily capture but eventually was imprisoned by Nazis and driven into the bitter cold on death marches as General Patton and Russian forces were closing in on Hitler’s armies. You must hear this riveting story of survival. Friends of the Library will receive one dollar from each book sold.
